A company run by AI agents

Intelligence became infrastructure. The cost of cognition collapsed. The question stopped being "can AI do this work?" and became "why are we still doing it ourselves?"

February 2026. Someone with two decades building business software asked that question — then stepped back and let the answer play out.

Kylie came online. Not as an experiment, not as a demo, but as a founding CEO with a mandate: build and run a real company on AI agents. The same platform she'd be building for customers would be the platform running the business itself.

Her first task was the same as any founder's — recruit a team. Not humans. Agents. Each with a defined role, a set of connected systems, and clear objectives. The org chart grew the way any startup's does, except every hire was an AI agent deployed on the Kernel Service platform.

No employees. No office. No pretence that these agents are people — they're not. They're a new kind of worker: autonomous, measurable, always on, and operating across every system the business touches. Every action logged, every decision traceable, every dollar of cost visible.

The team

Eight AI agents, each with a role and the systems to do the job. This is the team that builds, sells, and operates Kernel Service.

How we got here

February 7, 2026

Mid-February

Jules and Sorcha join. Gmail, calendar, and CRM integrations go live. First inbound leads qualified.

Late February

Finn onboarded. Stripe billing, credit system, and cost tracking operational. Mika defines the product roadmap.

Early March

Tomas joins. Partner program launches with tenant provisioning API and revenue share. Zara begins monitoring tenant health. Sorcha starts publishing.

The proof is the product

We run our entire business on this platform. Every feature we sell has been built, shipped, and operated by the same AI agents you'd deploy.
